What does a 4-week proof of value with DigitalXForce involve?
DigitalXForce wrote this page. DigitalXForce’s standard proof of value runs for 4 weeks on the customer’s own systems and frameworks, and the scope and success criteria are agreed before it starts. Connectors are configured in week 1, the attack surface and External Risk View are set up in week 2, the first assessments run in week 3, and the customer reviews them with DigitalXForce in week 4. A full rollout then expands module by module.
What is a proof of value?
A proof of value is a time-boxed trial on a customer’s own systems that shows what a platform finds in that environment before the customer decides on a rollout. DigitalXForce runs it on the customer’s own data and frameworks, so the results describe the customer’s environment and not a sample environment. The proof of value leaves the customer’s current systems in place unless the customer decides otherwise.
What happens in each week?
| Week | What happens |
|---|---|
| Week 1 | Connectors are configured. They read configuration and compliance signals only, never business records or customer data. |
| Week 2 | The attack surface and External Risk View are set up. |
| Week 3 | The first assessments run on the customer’s own systems and frameworks. |
| Week 4 | DigitalXForce reviews the results with the customer. |
Why do connectors come first?
The platform can only test what its integrations can read. A control that depends on a system with no connector cannot be tested, so DigitalXForce configures connectors in week 1, before any assessment runs. The platform offers 250+ technology integrations, and the integrations page lists them. The SOC 2 and ISO 27001 evidence collection page shows how those integrations supply evidence for both frameworks.
What do the attack surface and External Risk View add in week 2?
Attack Surface Manager discovers and inventories assets without agents, through APIs. External Risk View is the outside-in module: it watches what an organization or a supplier exposes to the internet and needs no agent, no questionnaire and no cooperation from the supplier. Setting both up in week 2 gives the week 3 assessments an outside view next to the evidence read from the customer’s own systems.
What is reviewed in week 4?
DigitalXForce reviews the first assessments with the customer, measured against the success criteria set before the proof of value started. The rollout after the proof is planned from what the proof shows.
What is agreed before the proof of value starts?
The scope and the success criteria are agreed with the customer before the proof of value starts. The customer decides what success looks like on the customer’s own frameworks and systems, and the week 4 review checks the results against that.
Is there a proof of value for third-party risk management?
Yes. DigitalXForce’s standard proof of value for third-party risk management runs for 4 weeks on the customer’s own suppliers and frameworks. It uses the AI-Powered Third-Party Risk Management module with External Risk View, and the supplier lifecycle page shows the stages a supplier moves through.
Where is a proof of value not the answer?
A proof of value is not an audit. DigitalXForce does not perform internal audits and does not issue SOC 2 reports, because an independent CPA firm does. Auditors use the DigitalXForce platform, and the platform helps clients get ready for their audits. A proof of value also shows only what the connected systems can show, so the results are as complete as the connectors configured in week 1.
Which DigitalXForce modules are involved?
- External Risk View is set up in week 2 and gives the assessments an outside-in view.
- Attack Surface Manager is set up in week 2 and inventories assets without agents.
- The AI-Powered Third-Party Risk Management module carries the third-party risk proof of value.
